Natural Gamboge has fallen out of favour in painting due to its extremely fugitive lightfastness, and has largely been replaced by the very similar hues of Aureolin and Nickel Azo Yellow. The result is a warm yellow as stunning as the original. Mixing it with violets like Deep Purple can achieve extraordinary results!
