Water gemakkelijk aan de kook brengen
Terwijl een knetterend vuur in de vuurschaal brandt, gaat de hitte van het vuur omhoog door de binnenkant van de ketel. Dankzij het stapeleffect wordt het water in de wand van de vuurketel in enkele minuten aan de kook gebracht. Zodra het water het kookpunt heeft bereikt, fluit het stoomfluitje.

Gebruik van hete lucht om te koken
Met een bovenste gedeelte op de opening van de ketel, kan de ontsnappende hete lucht worden gebruikt om een kleine maaltijd op te warmen.

Geen sporen van het vuur
Dankzij de drie poten laat de vuurkoker geen spoor van het vuur achter en is stabiel op elk oppervlak. Door de vuurpot ondersteboven in de vuurkoker te duwen, wordt ruimte bespaard en is deze gemakkelijk te vervoeren.
