5K 360 graden video's

Deze Vantrue E360 is aan de voorzijde uitgerust met twee 210˚ fish-eye camera's waardoor hij volledig 360˚ opneemt. De beelden worden gecombineerd tot één video met 5184*1944p resolutie. Dit maakt de dashcam perfect als parkeerbeveiliging voor je auto. Uitgerust met de Sony Starvis 2 Sensor zijn de beelden met name in de nacht van uitzonderlijk goede kwaliteit.

Vantrue Cloud

Misschien wel de mooiste functie van deze Vantrue E360 Cloud is de mogelijkheid om overal ter wereld te verbinden met de dashcam. De Vantrue LTE module (zie accessoires) ondersteunt SIM kaarten met actieve internetverbinding. Verbind de Vantrue LTE module vervolgens met de dashcam en je hebt overal ter wereld volledige Cloud verbinding.

Vantrue Cloud biedt je gratis 2gb Cloud opslag voor alle parkeermodus video's. Als de Cloud opslag vol is worden automatisch de oudste beelden overschreven voor nieuwe. Bij speciale gebeurtenissen (hevige trillingen) wordt tevens een notificatie naar je telefoon verzonden en wordt de video beveiligd opgeslagen in de Cloud zodat hij niet automatisch kan worden verwijderd.

1,54 inch touchscreen LCD

De Vantrue E360 is uitgerust met een compact maar helder 1,54 inch touchscreen LCD scherm. Hierop kunnen de opnames worden bekeken en het menu worden bediend. Het scherm heeft een screensaver die na 1 minuut in werking treedt zodat je er tijdens het rijden geen last van hebt. Je kunt het scherm ook aan- en uitzetten met het gesproken commando 'Turn on screen' en 'Turn off screen'.

Infrarood night vision

De voor- en interieur camera op deze Vantrue E360 zijn ieder uitgerust met vier gevoelige infrarood LED's. Gecombineerd met de hoogwaardige Sony Starvis 2 night vision sensor maakt dit dat de beelden in het donker zeer duidelijk zijn waardoor personen en auto's goed in beeld worden gebracht.

Draadloze 5.0GHz Wifi

De opgenomen video's bekijk je binnen bereik van de dashcam (+/- 5 meter) eenvoudig op je smartphone via de Vantrue App voor iOS of Android. De video's zijn live te bekijken en je kunt opgeslagen video's downloaden op je telefoon zodat je ze direct kunt delen. Door de 5.0GHz Wifi is de bestandsoverdracht sneller dan bij veel andere dashcams. Ook het menu is eenvoudig te bedienen via de App om heel snel instellingen te wijzigen.

GPS

De Vantrue E360 is uitgerust met GPS zodat de actuele snelheid en coördinaten worden bijgehouden. De snelheid kan desgewenst onderin elke video worden weergegeven en de filmlocatie en route kunnen later via de App worden bekeken.

Spraakbesturing

De Vantrue E360 geeft je de mogelijkheid om de dashcam via (Engelstalige) gesproken commando's te besturen. Door commando's zoals 'Make picture', 'Turn off screen', 'Turn on audio' en 'Lock the video' kun je de dashcam veilig tijdens het rijden gebruiken en mis je geen enkel incident.

Automatische gebufferde parkeermodus

Vantrue biedt de mogelijkheid om je auto te beveiligen tijdens het parkeren. Sluit je Vantrue dashcam aan met de OBD of 3-draads permanente voeding om de dashcam ook bij een uitgeschakelde auto te voorzien van stroom. De voeding geeft een signaal naar de dashcam door zodra je de auto uitzet zodat de parkeermodus automatisch wordt ingeschakeld.

De parkeermodus werkt alleen in combinatie de OBD of 3-draads permanente voeding. In deze voeding zit een beveiliging die de stroom onderbreekt bij een bepaald voltage zodat je niet met een lege accu komt te staan.

Vantrue heeft vier opnamestanden tijdens het parkeren:

Motion detection: Bewegingsdetectie (met instelbare gevoeligheid) waarbij de dashcam stand-by staat totdat een visuele beweging in beeld wordt waargenomen. Hierna wordt 5 seconden vóór en 30 seconden ná het incident opgeslagen.

Collision detection: Trilling detectie (met instelbare gevoeligheid) waarbij de dashcam uitschakelt totdat een trilling wordt waargenomen. Hierna gaat de dashcam aan, maakt een opname van 1 minuut en schakelt daarna weer uit.

Low bitrate recording: Continue opname in lagere kwaliteit (720p of 1080p in 15fps) om ruimte op de SD kaart te besparen. Zodra een trilling wordt waargenomen wordt een normale opname van 1 minuut gestart.

Time lapse recording: Continue opname in 1fps, 5fps, 10fps of 15fps om ruimte op de SD kaart te besparen. Bij 1fps wordt een periode van 30 minuten in 1 minuut afgespeeld. Zodra een trilling wordt waargenomen wordt een normale opname van 1 minuut gestart.

360 graden zicht

Omdat de Vantrue E360 is uitgerust met 2 camera's wordt alles in- en rondom de auto opgenomen. De voorste camera (155˚) en interieur camera (160˚) zorgen er samen voor dat je niets hoeft te missen.

Optionele Bluetooth SOS knop

De Vantrue E360 kan worden uitgebreid met een handige bluetooth SOS knop. Deze knop plaats je op elke gewenste plek in de auto en met één druk op de knop maak je foto en beveiligde video of zet je de microfoon van de dashcam een en uit.

G-sensor

De Vantrue E360 heeft een ingebouwde G-sensor. Deze sensor registreert trillingen in het geval van een aanrijding. De huidige video wordt in dat geval beveiligd opgeslagen.

Loop recording

De Vantrue E360 is uitgerust met een loop recording waardoor de oudste beelden automatisch worden overschreven door nieuwe. De video's worden opgeslagen in kortere fragmenten van 5 minuten en zodra de SD kaart vol is wordt het oudste fragment verwijderd.

Beveiligde opnames (handmatig geselecteerd of door de G-sensor gedetecteerd) worden in een aparte folder opgeslagen en worden niet verwijderd door de loop recording. Op deze manier heb je altijd toegang tot de laatste en belangrijkste video's.

512gb support

Vantrue is één van de weinige dashcam merken met ondersteuning voor SD kaarten tot 512gb. Met 512gb kun je tot wel 108 uur (ruim 4 dagen) aan FullHD video's opslaan. Bij een hogere resolutie zal de totale opnameduur wat korter zijn.

Fun Seeing Where it All Begins for the Fantastic Amateur Detecting Duo
Format: Audiobook
I started with book three in this series, progressed forward, and finally took the opportunity to go back and get the first book in the series. The whimsical, cozy mystery paired with historical Edwardian setting was light and whimsical. Actually, when I started listening, I realized that the first book introduced Lady Hardcastle and her ladies' maid, Florence Armstrong along with their new home and the other regular characters, in such a way that it didn't feel like the first book so much as the first of the stories that had been recorded. There are hints of their unusual, dangerous work abroad and no big explanation why the pair happened to be set upon 'a quiet life in the country' or why Lady Hardcastle and Florence have a relationship that is nearly family rather than an employer and servant from separate classes. The author trickles out the details and the reader/listener must catch them and piece them together as they go. Because I had experienced later books, those pieces stuck out easily to me. The meeting with Inspector Sunderland and the local villagers and neighborhood was fun. There are two murder mysteries that have interesting crossover people and facts. One seems to involve a dead man from the village cricket team whose death was meant to appear like a suicide and then later, the death of a rag-time band trumpeteer that played at the engagement party of the local squire's daughter. A theft is tossed in for good measure. I figured out one of the murders and part of the theft and the second murder, but the ultimate solution took me by surprise. Loved seeing the intrepid Flo able to get in some of her martial arts ability and spend time trailing along as they teased out the solution along side Inspector Sunderland. Elizabeth Knowelden is an absolute gem of a narrator and the voice of this series for me. She laid out the Edwardian country village world, the variety of genders and accents, and kept the pace and tone for this series just right. All in all, I thought this first entry was as fabulous as the later books and do not hesitate to put it out there as a good bet for historical cozy mystery lovers.

A story about what's left behind after death, both emotionally & spiritually - oh, and evil puppets
Format: Kindle
It takes a bit for Grady Hendrix's How to Sell a Haunted House to get to the "haunted" part of that title, but that's okay, really; what Hendrix is interested in here, as much as anything, is haunting in terms of the literal things left behind by death - the traumas that are left for those who survive, the guilt, the shame, the baggage, and all of the other things left behind by those who went before us. And, in the case of Louise and Mark Joyner, puppets. Lots and lots and lots of puppets. Oh, and one of them might be alive and malevolent, turning all of that metaphorical trauma into a very real presence (and, without getting into spoiler territory, all without losing that symbolic weight) - and one that allows Hendrix to bring real horror into the story of an estranged pair of siblings forced back into contact in the weight of their parents' death, and the reckoning that they have to go through as they deal with painful memories and a nightmare puppet. The end result can feel a little cluttered at times (although, by the end, it turns out to be a lot more interconnected and structured than you might realize along the way), and it doesn't help that it features some very fraught family interactions that cross from "painful" to "infuriating" very quickly. But as ever with Hendrix, there's more heart and emotion here than you might expect, and while it's all handled in his usual slightly off-kilter and unique sensibility, it still knows how to deliver the goods both on a horror front and a character one. I'd put it among the weakest of Hendrix's efforts overall, but there's a caveat here, and it's that I don't think anything he's read has ever been anything less than entertaining and solid overall, so even a weaker entry? Still a good time and a good read.

REVIEW: How to Sell a Haunted House by Grady Hendrix If you've enjoyed Grady Hendrix's previous books, you're probably going to like this one. It is Grady in typical form - witty, entertaining, slightly spooky, grounded characters who contrast over-the-top characters, and drenched in South Carolina charm. Now, if you're not the biggest Grady fan, I doubt this will be the book that converts you for the same reasons mentioned above. I tend to fall in the middle. I enjoy his storytelling abilities and scenarios enough to keep reading his books, but there's nothing horrific about them, nor any lingering effects. To me, they are entry-level horror, and that's perfectly fine. There's a huge market for that as his success reflects. This book doesn't try to be anything other than what it is, and I respect that. The story begins with Louise getting the news that her parents were killed in a car crash. She travels from California back to her hometown of Charleston, South Carolina where she reluctantly reunites with her cousins, aunt, and her brother, Mark. Louise and Mark resent one another, so they butt heads at every decision that needs to be made in light of the tragedy. Louise sees herself as the reasonable one and looks down on her brother as an embarrassment and a failure. While trying to come to terms with selling the house, the siblings soon realize that there's another presence in there with them, and it has something to do with their mom's homemade puppet collection. Overall, this book was enjoyable. There was nothing groundbreaking about it, and I got exactly what I paid for. Check it out if you're into spooky stories about complicated families and southern settings.

If you find Mark to be really aggravating at first, just hold on because it gets better. The character arcs in this book are awesome.
