Yellow Reishi Mushroom (Ganoderma curtsii)

Yellow Reishi is a mushroom found east of the Rocky Mountains in the United States. It is identified by a shiny orange to yellow surface, growing in plate-like formations on decaying hardwood materials such as oak and beech. One of the tougher mushrooms, it is rarely eaten in its natural state, often being thinly sliced, dried or powdered and used in teas and supplement capsules. The larger reishi mushroom genus (ganoderma) has an ancient medicinal background in many parts of Asia, tracing its documented history as far back as the 3rd century in China's Ch’in Dynasty. It has long been believed to promote longevity and was initially only available to the ruling class. Reishi mushrooms share a distinction with the likes of Shiitake and Turkey Tail as being among the most thoroughly researched mushrooms in the scientific and medical communities. Reishi mushrooms have showed promising results in the treatment of certain cancers, weight and cholesterol management, Alzheimer's treatment and recovery from neurological damage.

*This syringe will come with a clear/white syringe cap, indicating that this mushroom species grows in hardwood substrate. This mushroom will thrive on our FOREST GOLD GROW BLOCK or FOREST GOLD HARDWOOD SUBSTRATE.

*Please note that our grow block is an all-in-one kit, (requiring only a live liquid mycelium culture), whereas our substrate will require you to create a separate colonized grain spawn first. For those unfamiliar with growing mushrooms at home, we highly recommend starting with our FOREST GOLD GROW BLOCK for the best chances at success with the least amount of products and effort.

• Use BLACK GOLD GROW BLOCK or BLACK GOLD SUBSTRATE for all black-tipped syringes. All “BLACK GOLD” products are designed for compost and dung-loving mushroom varieties. “BLACK GOLD” products will come in black packaging and will be clearly labeled for use with black-tipped syringe specimens.

• Use FOREST GOLD GROW BLOCK or FOREST GOLD HARDWOOD SUBSTRATE for all clear/white-tipped syringes. All “FOREST GOLD” products are designed for hardwood-loving mushroom varieties. “FOREST GOLD” products will come in white packaging and will be clearly labeled for use with clear/white-tipped syringe specimens.
