Robust and reliable, Rab’s classic Kangri GORE-TEX® Jacket has been updated for ultimate weatherproofing and versatility, come drizzle or downpour. Ideal for avid adventurers spending long days out in the hills, the Kangri GORE-TEX® is equipped with a 70D GORE-TEX® Performance with an ePE membrane to provide an impenetrable waterproof barrier and rugged durability when the weather is wet and terrains are rough. Providing protection without restricting your mobility, the Kangri is cut with a regular it, articulated sleeves and underarm vents for heat dumping.

The adjustable hood has a flexible stiff peak to shed the rain and keep your visibility unimpeded, with an adjustable hem, drawcord waist and hook-and-loop cuffs to help seal out the elements. A soft, fleece-lined chin guard adds a little luxury and protects your skin from repeated friction against the zip, whilst the two hand pockets have been tactically designed to stay out of the way of your backpack straps. The smaller internal pocket is ideal for stashing away valuables like your GPS or phone, too. From wintery hill walks to scrambles in unexpected showers, the Kangri GORE-TEX® Jacket is a reliable piece to have on hand, so you can stay dry and focussed during your adventure.

A familiar story, just with…..less.

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
