💡 Which mode for which watch? Mode 1 (short cycle) is the universal choice suitable for the vast majority of modern automatic watches (Rolex 650 TPD, TAG Heuer, Breitling, Omega) — it alternates rotation and pause with a rhythm that respects the caliber. Mode 2 (intensive long cycle) offers a prolonged active phase of 2 hours followed by a 6-hour pause — relevant for high TPD calibers (800+ turns per day), complications requiring sustained winding, or to quickly rewind a watch whose mainspring has completely unwound after a period of not being worn.
Power flexibility: thanks to its universal USB port, the Orbitalis works with any standard USB source: AC adapter (included), laptop or desktop computer, desktop USB hub, or power bank for travel. This flexibility also makes it an excellent choice for spaces without a nearby power outlet (bedside table without an outlet, bookshelf). Power consumption is minimal and without heat emission.
⚠️ Reserved for automatic watches. The Orbitalis is exclusively designed for automatic rotor calibers. It is not suitable for quartz watches (battery-powered), solar watches, manual-winding watches (which are wound only by the crown), or smartwatches. Placing these types of watches in a winder is unnecessary and can, in some cases, damage the movement.
