The winery, based in San Bartolomé de Tirajana in Gran Canaria, is a collaboration between ex-Manchester City footballer David Silva and acclaimed winemaker Jonathan Garcia Lima (of Ocampo and Suertes del Marqués). The pair, both Canary Island natives, met after David tasted Jonatan’s Tenerife wines while living in Manchester. Impressed, he messaged Jonatan to congratulate him, and they quickly bonded over their island roots and love of great wine.

The 2024 Marmajuelo from Tamerán is vibrant and inviting, with lifted aromas of freshly squeezed passion fruit and lime juice. The palate is textural and expressive, revealing layers of apricot, orange zest, lime, and a delicate hint of rose. The finish is persistent, combining exotic fruit character with finesse and freshness.
