Notes

We first encountered Lucien Garban when studying his transcription for piano four hands of La Valse. We immediately found it extremely interesting, with highly successful piano solutions, many references to the orchestral version, and some original elements, albeit naturally in the most absolute respect for the autograph writing. We were very fascinated by this figure of transcriber and composer, a pupil of Fauré, and a friend of his peer, the more celebrated and brilliant Ravel. Garban followed him with affection and admiration throughout his musical life: from the first performance, of revolutionary importance, of Pelléas et Mélisande to Ravel's requests for transcriptions or arrangements of his works, to Lucien's suggestions, who in his maturity became musical director of the Durand editions, for his friend Maurice, to Garban's professional and personal support during Ravel's last years, severely marked by illness.
We then tackled some of his other transcriptions, giving precedence to Ravel's music, namely Valses Nobles et Sentimentales and the three excerpts from L'Enfant et le Sortilège, these works being particularly dear to Garban, cited several times in correspondence. To also embrace another important part of the French musician's work, we chose to record his transcription for piano four hands of Carnival of the Animals, undoubtedly one of the most performed versions of the famous "zoological fantasy."
The album aims to highlight the figure of Garban, who worked extensively in Ravel's shadow but fell into an oblivion that we do not believe does him justice...

Beautiful, functional, easy on hands, push button
Color: Stainless Steel
Update: these are great! I only charged them the day they arrived 3 months ago from Amazon, and have not had to charge them yet. They work efficiently every time my whole family loves using them,,especially the grandkids. I specifically wanted "push button" , and easy-rechargeable. I have arthritis so it's pretty amazing and wonderful. These rechargeable grinders are lightweight when they arrive, and easy to fill from the top. For each grinder, you will need to turn the top opening slightly to the left to release it, and then pull it open. My 9yo grandson had to show me. The salt and pepper grindersmake a relatively, low grinding sound, and have a small, shining, light at the bottom where the salt and pepper come out onto the food. The performance is good, the salt and pepper output seems not too much and not too little. Charging these grinders was extremely easy, and the little charging unit stand is provided with a C charger which you can connect into the back of the charging unit, and a USB connection on the other end for the wall .

Best grinders I have ever used
Color: Stainless Steel
I bought these 6 months ago and they are great. They have stopped charging several times. The problem is the salt gets on the contacts and oxidized the contacts and the unit stops charging. You take sand paper and clean the contacts and they work fine again. I feel if the material on the charging port is made with stainless steel and the contacts on the grinders themselves are larger, I would have given this a 5 star. Even As it stands, I would purchase these again. I have several bad experiences buying manual grinders that last about a month and break. These are High Quality, but need to upgrade the contacts.

Salt n peppa
Color: Stainless Steel
Not sure why I waited so long to purchase these! They are great, nice sleek design and they make cooking so much easier! They work so well and I literally just hold it over whatever I’m cooking, press a button and fresh pepper and salt are grinding right before my eyes! In the past my shakers have left salt or pepper on the counter but so far these have not, which is a bonus for sure!

Convenient and sleek
Color: Stainless Steel
These are very easy to use with one-hand operation. The adjustable grind settings work well, and the light feature is actually helpful when cooking. The stainless steel design looks modern on the counter. Grinding power is consistent and strong enough for everyday kitchen use. Pros: • Easy to operate • Adjustable grind size • Attractive design Cons: • Requires batteries • Slightly taller than manual grinders A convenient upgrade from manual mills.
