This pipe kit is specifically designed for customers who have previously purchased the Mishimoto performance high-mount intercooler and would like to couple it with the Mishimoto pipe kit. This kit includes all the components you will need to upgrade your setup to the full Mishimoto charge air system.----Our intercooler pipes are constructed from cast and mandrel-bent aluminum for unsurpassed durability. Unlike the stock plastic pipes, our cast-aluminum hot-side Y-pipe and throttle body inlet provide superior resistance to cracking after thousands of heat cycles. For even more durability, we've replaced the factory rubber sections with mandrel-bent aluminum for significantly increased boost tolerance. Serrated coupler connections at the Y-pipe and throttle body ensure your boost stays where you want it under even the most extreme conditions.----But durability isn't the only benefit these pipes offer. The Mishimoto performance intercooler pipes reduce restriction by up to 34.2-percent over the stock pipes. More power, slightly lower (8%) MPG.

Installed on a 2.0 liter Subaru Impreza.
I drive up/down the I5 in california 3-4 times a year. For those that don't know there is about a 200 mile flat stretch where everyone runs at 75-85mph.
With various filters (FRAM, BOSCH, Subaru OEM), I would consistently get 29.8 mpg. Once I installed the K&N, I could feel the car pulling with a bit more power, but I noticed that I was getting about 27.5 mpg.
Totally worth it as the impreza is a little under powered and I don't drive many miles (6k/year) but if you are putting a lot of miles on your car, you may want to have more mpg.

Very good quality comparable to OEM at a much more reasonable price point.

Last December we bought our first new car in 21 years and the first thing I did is stock up on cabin and engine air filters. I've got nothing against dealership OEM parts and pieces but what I do have an issue with is the prices. Luckily, we all have a bit of control over access to OEM quality parts and pieces at significantly more reasonable prices via Amazon. This filter and it's matching cabin filter are excellent in value and take less than 5 minutes to replace. Compare that to paying the hourly rate at your dealer plus the dealership retail price and you'll do what I did and stock up on these two filters. Definitely recommended.
