Der universelle Funktransmitter wird als Übertragungseinheit für eine Vielzahl von AFRISO Sonden, wie z. B. Mini- oder Maximelder, Kontaktmanometer u. v. m. eingesetzt.

Die zum Senden der Zustandsänderung benötigte Energie wird über die integrierte Photovoltaikzelle erzeugt, es kann optional beim Einsatz in dunklen Räumen eine Batterie eingesetzt werden.
Das AFRISOhome Gateway überträgt Warnmeldungen und Zustandsänderungen inklusive der Information, welcher universelle Funktransmitter FTM die Zustandsänderung gemeldet hat, über WLAN oder LAN an die zuständigen Ansprechpartner (z. B. Eigentümer, Hausverwalter, Hausmeister oder Handwerker). Durch den Einsatz des AFRISOhome Gateways, in Kombination mit weiteren AFRISO Smart-Home-Produkten mit EnOcean®-Funktechnologie, stehen viele individuelle, selbst konfigurierbare und erweiterbare Anwendungen zur Verfügung:

Kontaktmanometer (zur Meldung von Grenzwerten) (bitte Anschlussleitung dazu bestellen)
