We now refer back to this book often and make up new concepts like "The Polite Elephant knows we use our inside voices inside!" I sort of wish the book emphasized some different things, like apologies, asking permission, tidying up etc but it's a great starting place. Some other reviews mentioned the manners in this book are obsolete but other than "tipping one's hat" I don't really agree that that's the case.
